The Old Weyrn Grounds

The Old Weyrn Grounds ^[53, 57] is a Spellsworn-held area near the center of the Forbidden Reach and the southern of the four anchors of the zone.

The area is bordered by the Scaleborn Pass to the Caldera of the Menders to the north, the Lost Atheneum and Froststone Vault to the northeast, Talonlords' Perch to the east, the Frosted Spine to the south, Sharpscale Coast to the west, and Aerie Chasm to the northwest.

The entrances to two locations are found here: the War Creche and Earth-Warder's Cauldron micro-dungeon at ^[52, 60] in the grounds proper, and Hessethiash's Hollow at ^[47, 63] in a small cave up the hill to the southwest behind the War Creche.

North of the river — but south of the atheneum and vault — is also called the grounds. Thunder lizards control the area, and Vraken the Hunter spawns in a cave.

The Forbidden Reach Rush dragonriding race starts at ^{[49.4, 60.1]} just west of the entrance to the War Creche.

A Forbidden Hoard spawns northeast of the grounds at ^{[56.1, 56.3]} on a small island in the river guarded by two Spellsworn Guards.
