Melisara is a banshee located in Tarren Mill in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Prior to the Cataclysm, she directed Forsaken agents to take back the  [Crown of Will] from Mug'thol the ogre, a former subordinate of the Forsaken who gained free will after taking the Crown for himself, and also enlisted adventurers to eradicate the Stormpike presence in Hillsbrad.

Following the Cataclysm and the Forsaken's renewed conquest of Lordaeron, she aided the adventurers and High Warlord Cromush in defending Hillsbrad against the Stormpike Guard. She and several others witnessed the arrival of Orkus and Kasha. She communicated telepathically with the adventurers as they were breaking the fingers of Hillsbrad, defeating the Alliance forces there.

During the Fourth War, she was encountered by Alliance champions when they were establishing dams on Darrowmere River.
