Lieutenant Alverold was one of Daelin Proudmoore's lieutenants and made up a part of the fleet which sailed to Durotar in search of Jaina Proudmoore. While Proudmoore headed towards land, he ordered Alverold to take an exploratory fleet and scout out the coasts of Kalimdor. Meanwhile, Daelin did battle with the Horde, and was killed by Rexxar and his comrades.

Lieutenant Benedict continued Daelin's campaign, and  [Admiral Proudmoore's Orders] dictated that Alverold had to reinforce him eventually. Alverold's fate is unknown.

There has been no mention of Alverold since  [Admiral Proudmoore's Orders]. He might be presumed missing, presumed dead, or simply forgotten about.

• Chronicle reveals that after Daelin's death, most survivors of his fleet sailed back to the Eastern Kingdoms. While Alverold might thus have discarded his orders upon learning of the Admiral's fate, this eventuality was already considered by the Lord Admiral ("But should any misfortune befall myself or Benedict, Alverold's troops will retake the Keep.")
• Alverold's fleet might still be sailing, unable to be guided back to Kul Tiras because of the Tidesages abandoning their duties.
