Lieutenant

Lieutenant is used in the names and ranks of different races. Lieutenant is also a creature classification (like rare, elite, or boss) in a dungeon or raid that indicates a more-difficult enemy that doesn't rise to the level of a boss, previously and informally referred to as a mini-boss.

In World of Warcraft, there are some characters with Lieutenant in their name. Lieutenant can also mean a subordinate of a leader, even if they have no official rank or have a higher rank, as was the case with Uther the Lightbringer, Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, and Turalyon being the lieutenants of Anduin Lothar during the Second War.

In Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, it is a rank players can achieve in PvP match-ups. Alliance characters can achieve the Knight-Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander titles in rated battlegrounds.
