Kettara Bloodthirst was an orc shaman of the Earthen Ring.

History

She spent five years as an apprentice to Muln Earthfury, leader of the Earthen Ring. Kettara alongside Zur'ak Firefist, Krelna, Lenka, were waiting for a meeting with Drek'Thar. She asked Muln about the Spirit of Life as she was eager to learn more about it. She was saddened when she saw Drek'Thar as he was senile. Eventually, she alongside her master and colleagues noticed a fire in Camp Narache. Muln ordered her to rescue villagers. After she was done she and the other shaman had to retreat to Bloodhoof Village. There the shaman started to talk about how elements abandoned them however, a runner from Narache approached them, telling that the threat was over.

After she witnessed Shotoa's power, she could not determine whom to follow. She remembered her first meeting with Muln 5 years earlier where he invited her to join the Earthen Ring and eventually had to battle against some Grimtotem. Back in present, Kettara visited Muln and they spoke about Shotoa’s methods and tried to convince him to have an open mind about change. Muln however, continued to believe in the old ways and rejects Shotoa’s methods, no matter how much more appealing his methods look. Muln used the orcs abandoning their shamanistic ways for warlock magic as an example of change leading her people to ruin. Yet Ketarra countered that the orcs arrival to Kalimdor was an example of positive change as the orcs were able to save the tauren from the centaur. Kettara told Muln that there are times to resist change and there are times to accept it but change eventually comes naturally, thus she decided to follow Shotoa in order to learn how to unite with the elements.

Kettara and other shaman were later delivered to Feralas where Shotoa's betrayal was revealed. He led them to Feralas in order to have his allies, the Grimtotem, kill the shaman. She tried to attack Shotoa, but she was quickly overwhelmed. She died after being crushed by one of Shotoa's earth elementals and passed away in Muln's arms. Eventually she was cremated along with other deceased shaman.[1]
