Karnitol is a human mage and "noble of some sort" who lives in Stormwind City. His ship, carrying a valuable chest, was attacked by sea giants off the coast of Desolace. He and his servants tried to bring the chest ashore, but when more giants attacked, Karnitol chose to abandon it and teleport himself and his servants to safety. He subsequently hired Reclaimers Inc. to find the chest and return it to him. The chest's contents had been stolen by the Slitherblade naga, but adventurers helped Kreldig Ungor retrieve them and then brought them in a satchel to Roetten Stonehammer in Ironforge so he could deliver them to Karnitol.
