For the Class Hall title, see High Priest (title).

High priests are priestly practitioners and are mostly seen among troll priests, as exemplified by Mar'li, Thekal, Arlokk, Venoxis, and Jeklik from Zul'Gurub. They grant Hakkar the Soulflayer various abilities if they are not killed.

The term is also associated with the kaldorei people and their priesthood called Sisterhood of Elune as high priestesses are its leaders. Draenei of the Aldor are also led by high priestess Ishanah.

However, the title "high priest" can mean any person high ranked in a religious society who is a leader of lower-ranked priests. Notably, the Church of the Holy Light which has several high priests in its ranks.

During the Burning Legion's third invasion, many high priests joined the Conclave in the Netherlight Temple.[1]
