Quotes

Gossip before quests

The wind and trees whisper of unseen troubles. The land appears healthy, but there's more going on here than meets the eye.

Gossip after quests

<Thayreen's stare is blank. Cleansing Vordrassil's corruption has taken its toll on the druid.>

Notes

You must complete the quest chain up to A [15-30] A Swift Response and the following quest chain starting with: A [15-30] Descent into Darkness, A [15-30] Report to Gryan Stoutmantle... Again, Hollowstone Mine, etc. before you can take her quests.

When you've done her quest chain, something has happened to her. When you complete B [15-30G3] Ursoc, the Bear God, the quest text reads: <The druid looks pale and her eyes stare blankly past you. She has left a package in anticipation of your return.>. When you complete the quest and talk to her again, a new text will read: <Thayreen's stare is blank. Cleansing Voldrassil's corruption has taken its toll on the druid.> .

It is speculated that during the cleansing of the World Tree's corruption she herself became tainted by the very same influence.

Another possibility is she simply became overwhelmed by the revelation that the Old God Yogg-Saron was the source of Vordrassil's taint, putting her in a state of shock.

Nevertheless, the druid is now silent and stares past people into nothing.

Trivia

  • She wears a unique druid armor set based on Wildheart Raiment, but not available to players. The closest set available to players is the recolored Wildheart Raiment from The Burning Crusade dungeons, which is distinguishable from regular Wildheart by the shorter, midriff-baring chestpiece. Hierophant Thayreen's armor is a recolored version of that, green instead of blue.
