Great Father Arctikus is a rare ice troll found inside the Frostmane Hold cave and at Shimmer Ridge in Dun Morogh. He was once the leader of the Frostmane trolls.^[1]

Abilities

Battle Shout — Increases the melee attack power of nearby friendly targets for 2 min.
Enrage — Increases the Physical damage dealt by the caster and speeds its attacks for 5 sec.

The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 4.0.6 but is present in Classic Era.

Devotion Aura — Gives 74 additional armor to party and raid members within 40 yards.
Renew — Heals the target for 45 every 3 sec for 12 sec.

Slamp Wobblecog claims the Frostmane chieftain died in the Trogg attack on Frostmane Hold. Arctikus's survival may be non-canon, or he might have survived without their knowledge. In either case, Battok the Berserker has functionally replaced him as leader of the Frostmane Trolls.^[2]
Players have reported him appearing in both Frostmane Hold and Shimmer Ridge. It's believed to be a phasing or pathing bug, as one noted him disappearing from a hut in the ridge, and another saw him getting stuck in a cave wall before "jumping" to another location, then reappearing in the cave.^[3]

Patch 7.3.5 (2018-01-16): Now scales from level 7 - 22. Previous level was 6.
Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08):
- Abilities changed to those of a warrior, replacing his priest/paladin skills.
- Level reduced from 11 to 6.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Model changed to that of the Drakkari trolls.
