General Fangore, formerly known as Lieutenant Fangore, is a Shadowhide gnoll located in the eastern Redridge Mountains.

Back then, Magistrate Solomon wanted Fangore's cold, dead paw, for his alliance with the warlock Morganth, as he rallied his forces around the Tower of Ilgalar, Morganth's bastion in Redridge.[1]

Sometime after the Cataclysm, a new Fangore appears to have replaced the original as warlord of the Shadowhide gnolls. This Fangore was promoted to general by Grand Magus Doane, the new master of the Shadowhide gnolls and the Tower of Ilgalar. Bravo Company slew General Fangore in order to get the  [Key of Ilgalar].[2]

While not an elite, Fangore poses a huge problem to single or paired adventurers. He will appear to be on his own or guarded by one or two gnolls, but there are four bodyguard gnolls that will attack from far away if Fangore is ambushed. These gnolls pull anything around them as well, so one person carelessly attacking Fangore can soon be covered in smelly gnoll. A party of five is a necessity, and even then, someone will probably die.

Lieutenant Fangore is also completely immune to shadow damage, making this an extremely difficult quest for affliction warlocks and shadow priests to solo.

Given the different appearances and classes, it is likely that there are two Fangore characters who reuse the same ID.
