Galford was a human paladin of the Tyr's Guard and the brother of Travard, the leader of the order.

In order to pass the wards protecting  [The Silver Hand], Galford journeyed to Northrend to seek aid from Tyr's homeland. When he arrived in Dragonblight, he met a blue dragon named Lanigosa at Wyrmrest Temple and asked her to hear stories about the Keeper Tyr. After he learned about the battle between Galakrond and Tyr, and how Kalecgos saw Tyr's severed hand at Galakrond's Rest, he got very excited and left. According to the taunka spirit Buniq, Galford managed to find the Spark of Tyr and his mind was then flooded by memories stored in the artifact of the noble watcher. When he learned that Tyr asked the Titanic watcher Jotun to forge him a silver hand, after he lost his first hand to the dragon's maw, Galford sought out Jotun, but the Spark did not warn him of the cruel curse with which Loken twisted the watcher's mind, and he only meet his doom on the Path of the Titans.

On his way to meet Jotun to ask for his help, he wrote notes of his journey and what the Spark of Tyr showed him, notably about Tyr's fight with Galakrond and what Jotun did to help the Keeper. The champion of the Light then found the crushed corpse of the paladin and fought Jotun, who handed them the Spark of Tyr in a moment of lucidity. After the battle, Lanigosa promised to return Galford's remains. The paladin hero later brought the artifact back to Travard who learned with sadness of his brother's death.
