Fire Elemental Row 2 Elemental shaman talent 5% of base mana 2.5 min cooldown Instant Calls forth a Greater Fire Elemental to rain destruction on your enemies for 20 sec. While the Fire Elemental is active, Flame Shock deals damage 33% faster, and newly applied Flame Shocks last 100% longer.

Fire Elemental is an Elemental shaman talent. It summons an elemental that attacks enemies with [Fire Blast].

It is an exclusive choice node with [Storm Elemental].

Trivia

• The Rank 2 upgrade ability is erroneously named "Fire Elemental Totem" despite being introduced in Shadowlands, two expansions after the previous ability was removed.

Patch changes

• Patch 11.0.5 (2024-10-22): Now lasts 20 seconds (was 30 seconds).
  
• Patch 10.2.5 (2024-01-16): Now has a reduced size in instances for the Shaman's allies and enemies. For the Shaman, the Elemental still appears large.
  
• Hotfix (2023-08-21): Now causes [Flame Shock] to deal damage 15% faster in PvP Combat (was 33%).
  
• Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 2 Elemental talent (was a level 34 Elemental ability). Rank 2 effects are now baseline.
  
• Patch 9.2.0 (2022-02-22): Fire Elemental has had the mana cost of its abilities reduced by 90% and should no longer run out of mana.
  
• Patch 9.0.2 (2020-11-17): Rank 2 added at level 58: While your Fire Elemental is active, any newly applied Flame Shock lasts 100% longer.
  
• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Mana cost added. Fire Elemental no longer causes Flame Shock to generate maelstrom. Instead, Flame Shock now deals damage 25% faster while the Fire Elemental is active. Now learned at level 34 (was 48).
  
• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17):
  • Model updated. Duration reduced to 30 seconds (down from 1 minute) and cooldown reduced to 2.5 minutes (down from 5 minutes). Additionally, Flame Shock's periodic ticks generate 3 Maelstrom while the Fire Elemental is active.
  • The Greater Fire Elemental no longer uses [Fire Nova].
    
• Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now has a totem timer. Now learned at level 56 (was 48).
