Fingers of Frost is a Frost mage talent.
Notes
- By treating the target as if it were frozen, abilities empowered by Fingers of Frost also benefit from [Shatter].
- This effect works against enemies that are immune to being frozen, such as raid bosses.

Patch changes
- Hotfix (2023-11-21): [Frozen Orb] now has a 5% chance to grant Fingers of Frost (was 10%) in PvP
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 2 Frost talent (was a level 13 Frost ability).
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 13 (was 24).
- Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): [Blizzard] no longer activates Fingers of Frost.
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now has a 12% chance to proc from [Frostbolt] and Frozen Orb (down from 15%) and no longer increases [Ice Lance] damage. No longer activates from [Frostfire Bolt].
- Patch 6.2.0 (2015-06-23): Now increases Ice Lance damage by 140% (up from 100%).
- Hotfix (2014-10-15): Fingers of Frost rate of activation for Frostbolt and Frostfire Bolt should now correctly factor in the bonus from using the glyphed version of Icy Veins.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Fingers of Frost bonus damage applied to Ice Lance has been increased to 100%, up from 25%.
- Patch 5.3.0 (2013-05-21): The tooltip no longer incorrectly lists [Scorch].
- Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Now has a 15% (was 12%) chance to activate from Frostbolt, Frostfire Bolt and Frozen Orb, and a 5% (was 4%) chance to activate from [Blizzard]. No longer affects Scorch.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Slightly redesigned as a level 24 Frost ability (was a tier 3 Frost talent). Your successful Frostbolts, Frostfire Bolts and Frozen Orb hits have a 12% chance, your Blizzard ticks have a 4% chance, and your successful Scorches have a 9% chance to grant you the Fingers of Frost effect.

- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Proc chance is now 7/14/20%, down from 10/20/30%.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Changed from 2 to 3 ranks and moved from tier 8 to tier 3. Chance to proc is now 10/20/30%, up from 7/15%.
- Patch 3.3.3 (2010-03-23): Mages with [Molten Armor] active who have the [Shatter] talent will no longer lose Fingers of Frost charges when Molten Armor causes reactive damage. In addition, the effect from this talent now displays the number of charges on the buff icon.
- Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): This talent now triggers immediately on casting a spell rather than being delayed until the spell strikes the target.
- Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): This talent can now trigger properly from [Frost Armor].
