So, an Enlightened named Xevveth heard that Firim was last seen west of the Forge of the Afterlives, and went to go seek him out.
We should begin our search there.

Notes
On accept, Pelagos starts following the player while Kleia walks over to the Oracle's gurney.
- Kleia says: Do not worry. I will watch over this oracle while you search.
- Pelagos says: Thank you, Kleia.
Kleia escorts the gurney to the Geometric Cavern. The player's search leads in the other direction, up the road through the Great Veldt. Near where the road is bisected by the path to the Genesis Vestibule, Xy'teth is standing over Xevveth's corpse. On approach, Xy'teth runs away and disappears in a flash of magic.
- Pelagos says: Hey there! Stop!
- Pelagos says: Who was that? We should see what they were after.
Interact with Xevveth's body:
- Pelagos says: This poor soul. Though, what are they holding? A map to Firim's hideout? Let's hope the assassin did not see this.
Continue up the road to where a path forks off to Faith's Repose and the entrance to Exile's Hollow. Upon approaching the latter:
- Pelagos says: Look! The light here is the same as the one that hides Haven. This is surely where we will find Firim.
Down in Exile's Hollow, Xy'teth is lying dead on the ground while Firim is nonchalantly tinkering with a device nearby. When Pelagos and the player step inside, they are immediately trapped in floating cages:
Trapped! — Trapped in a broker cage.- Firim says: More assassins? Stop wasting my time!
- Firim says: Wait, I know you... yes, my friends from the Vestibule.
- Pelagos says: Hello again, we need your help...
- The cages disappear, releasing Pelagos and the player.
- Firim says: My help? You've led the assassins right to me! I'm the one that should be helped.
- Upon completion and talking to Firim
- My research is too brilliant for both the Enlightened and the cartels to resist.
- It seems I must rely on you to help me protect it.
