Feathers is a robotic parrot created by Grizzek Fizzwrench and Sapphronetta Flivvers.

Biography

Before the Storm

While Sapphronetta later claimed that she had created Feathers, she and Grizzek actually made it together as their first (and last) anniversary gift to each other. After their marriage ended, Grizzek ended up keeping Feathers and cherished it as his favorite device. Several times a day, Feathers flew reconnaissance around Grizzek's home in Tanaris, using its mechanical eyes to scan for anything unusual and immediately reporting any trouble to Grizzek. Naturally, Feathers alerted Grizzek when Jastor Gallywix arrived to ask him to create Azerite inventions.

When Sapphronetta was kidnapped and brought to Grizzek by Gallywix's goons, Feathers cheerily greeted her. Saffy demanded that Grizzek give her "her" parrot back, but he reminded her that it didn't belong to her. Saffy eventually agreed to work with Grizzek to study Azerite, on the condition that she'd get Feathers when they were done.

In the midst of Grizzek and Saffy's Azerite experiments, Feathers reported the presence of "Big ugly guests": Gallywix's goons, who informed Grizzek that he and Saffy had been ordered to start making Azerite weapons. Following a visit by Gallywix himself, Grizzek and Saffy decided to escape to another part of Tanaris through a tunnel and enact a plan to prevent Gallywix from using their discoveries to harm others. They programmed Feathers to fly to Teldrassil with a warning about what had happened and a plea for rescue at a specific location, with the duo intending to offer their discoveries to the Alliance on the stipulation that they would only create things that could help, not harm. However, the parrot was quickly shot out of the sky by Druz and his enforcers, who knew of Grizzek and Sapphronetta's plans ahead of time.

Battle for Azeroth

Feathers and his creators reunited.

While investigating the whereabouts of Grizzek and Saffy, an adventurer found Feathers' charred remains in Tanaris. After the hero repaired the parrot with mechanical parts from nearby Venture Company goons and debugged its recall system, Feathers activated its "Find Saffy" protocol and flew the adventurer to the spot in Tanaris where Grizzek and Sapphronetta were hiding. Knowing that this meant others might be able to find them, the pair drove off on Grizzek's bike and gave Feathers to the hero in return for not letting anyone know that they were still alive.
