Sanguine Blades is an Assassination rogue talent.

Notes

During the patch 10.2.0 PTR, both an active and a passive version of Exsanguinate were available, with the expectation that feedback would lead to only one version being kept. Ultimately, the active version was the one that was dropped while the passive version was renamed to Sanguine Blades.

Patch changes

  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-12-13): Damage dealt will now be logged correctly when buffed by an Augmentation Evoker.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-11-27): Fixed issues that caused it to unintentionally keep the Rogue and enemy player in combat.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-11-16): Fixed an issue that allowed Sanguine Blades damage from vulnerability damage increases on enemies to be unintentionally doubled.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07): Exsanguinate renamed to Sanguine Blades and has been redesigned – While above 50% of maximum Energy your Garrote, Rupture, and Crimson Tempest consume 2 Energy to duplicate 25% of any damage dealt. Passive talent.
    Old: Twist your blades into the target's wounds, causing your Bleed effects on them to bleed out 80% faster. 3 minute cooldown.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2022-12-15): Fixed an issue that prevented Exsanguinate's cooldown from resetting after encounters.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2022-11-04): Fixed an issue preventing the Exsanguinate talent from benefitting from increased range provided by the [Acrobatic Strikes] talent.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Cooldown increased to 3 min (was 45 sec). Now a row 5 Assassination talent (was a level 45 Assassination talent).
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now available at level 45 (was 90).
  • Legion Patch 7.2.5 (2017-06-13):
    • Exsanguinate now causes your Bleed effects to bleed out 150% (was 100%) faster.
    • Exsanguinate now costs 25 Energy.
  • Legion Hotfix (2016-08-08): Exsanguinate now causes bleeds to tick 100% faster, down from 400% faster.
  • Legion Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Added.
