Patch changes
- Patch 11.0.2 (2024-08-13): Damage increased by 19%.
- Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07):
- No longer has an instant damage component.
- Now has an initial damage over time tick on application.
- Damage per tick reduced by 29%.
- Duration increased by 2 seconds.
- Now deals bonus damage when multiple enemies are afflicted, increased by 20% per target, up to 100%.
- Now deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets (was 8).
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 5 Assassination talent (was a level 50 Assassination talent).
- Patch 9.1.5 (2021-11-02): No longer maximum target capped and instead deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets.
- Patch 9.0.5 (2021-03-09): Fixed an issue that prevented Crimson Tempest from triggering [Alacrity].
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Damage increased by 30% and now capped at 8 targets. Now available at level 50 (was 100).
- Hotfix (2018-08-10): Damage reduced by 10%.
- Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Re-added as a level 100 Assassination talent.
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed.
- Hotfix (2015-02-17): Refreshing or expiring Crimson Tempest should no longer incorrectly remove other Rogues' Sanguinary Veins.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Crimson Tempest's periodic damage now has rolling periodic behavior, meaning that remaining damage from the previous application is added into the newly-applied periodic-damage effect.
- Hotfix (2012-09-14): Crimson Tempest should now stack correctly with Sanguinary Veins and Mastery: Executioner.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Added.
