Excoriate was an Azerite trait available to Demonology warlocks. It could only be found on the [Bartered Vrykul Hood].

Trivia

For a few weeks during the Battle for Azeroth beta, this trait was named Crashing Chaos. This may have been a mistake, since a trait with that name already existed.

Patch 8.1.0 (2018-12-11): Removed; replaced by [Baleful Invocation].
Note: This trait's removal wasn't mentioned in any official patch notes, but patch 8.1 is the most likely candidate for it. Excoriate was removed in late 2018 or early 2019, and Baleful Invocation, the trait that now occupies its spot, was added to the game in 8.1.0.
Hotfix (2018-08-21): Fixed an issue with Excoriate where gaining multiple stacks of [Demonic Core] at once provided no additional benefit.
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Added.
