Description

The pieces are all coming together. The kyrian, the Paths of the First Ones, and runes of domination?

Kel'Thuzad is looking to breach the Maw!

We cannot allow this to happen! The Maw has been locked away from the Shadowlands for good reason. Opening that floodgate could be catastrophic!

The baron is too powerful to confront headlong, so we will stop his ritual instead. Return to him with his reagents. I have made some "modifications" that should provide a calamitous end to his scheme.

Notes

On the way to Kel'Thuzad, Ton'hamil offers another optional side quest:  [60G5] Mantle of Mastery. That quest requires at minimum three players to even attempt.

Back in the Vault of Souls, Kel'Thuzad has prepared for his ritual by placing Bearer Thedrin on an altar behind him. When you arrive, a Necrotic Sorcerer is giving a report to the baron.

Necrotic Sorcerer says: ...the caravan was completely ransacked. The escorting brokers were brutally slain.

Kel'Thuzad says: Do not waste my time speaking of lackeys! What of my reagent?

Necrotic Sorcerer says: It was nowhere to be found, master.

Kel'Thuzad says: Then it would appear we have a traitor in our midst. We must accelerate our plans.

Necrotic Sorcerer says: As you command, master. It will be done at once!

On completion, the Sorcerer walks out of the room.
