Deomen the Vortex is a death elemental located in Desmotaeron of the Maw, encaged by a Double Locked Cage.

Open the portcullis by heading into the building at ^{[63.2, 43.8]}immediately to the northwest. Inside are two gate lock controls guarded by Maldraxxi Bulwarks and Chained Bonesculpters. Flip both levers to unlock the cage, then interact with the gate to free Deomen.

Killing Deomen the Vortex awards 100 points of standing with Ve'nari, roughly 75 [Stygia], and 500 points of threat (50% of a level) of Eye of the Jailer.

Abilities

Death's Vortex — Pulls in all nearby players, inflicting Shadow damage.
Decaying Grasp — Harmful energy grasps players within 60 yds, inflicting 5 Shadow damage every 2 sec and reducing healing received by 5% for 20 sec.
Massive Eruption — Knocks all enemies within 10 yards of the caster back. Inflicts Shadow damage to all enemies within 10 yards.
