Carevin
The Carevin family is a family living in Darkshire, which has dedicated itself to battle against demons, monstrosities, undead, and those who would provide them aid.[1] In Duskwood, they especially fight the worgen and investigate some of the townsfolk that are under suspicion of succor to the enemies of the Light, as their quest is the expulsion of evil and heresy of the region to protect its inhabitants.[2] They seem to have quite many supporters in their cause, as Calor dreams of outnumbering the Night Watch,[3] and his disillusioned by their complacency to fight the evils of Duskwood.[4]
History
World of Warcraft
In their fight against the Nightbane pack, Calor enlisted the aid of Alliance adventurers to kill feral worgen in Brightwood Grove, the Rotting Orchard, and in Roland's Doom. After they accomplished all of their missions, which he thought impossible, Calor wrote them a letter of recommendation to meet Jonathan Carevin, the head of the family.[5]
At some point, Jonathan Carevin met an adventurer looking for the Scythe of Elune and sent them to Roland's Doom, where the worgen started appearing in Duskwood. After their report, and though the Carevin family's influence is not large enough to find the root of the worgen threat and finish it once and for all, Jonathan Carevin decided that their first priority would be to contain the worgen's numbers as much as possible in Duskwood.[6][7]
They are also in contact with Sven Yorgen and his followers at Raven Hill, sending them supplies from Darkshire to support their fight against Morbent Fel.[8]
Cataclysm
A few years later, the Carevin family still continued their fight against the evils of Duskwood, enlisting the help of Alliance adventurers to fight the Nightbane worgen threat across the region.[9][10]
Legion
During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, the Council of Darkshire alongside some members of the Night Watch joined the Veiled Hand and took control of Darkshire. The Carevin family could be seen inside their house, cowering in fear while the cultists were slaughtering the citizens. Calor was one of the victims.[11]
