Captain Tread Sparknozzle is Gelbin Mekkatorque's gruff advisor. His eye patch is a testimony to his years of battlefield experience.[1]
History
Operation: Gnomeregan
He originally appeared during Operation: Gnomeregan, overseeing the training of new recruits and testing equipment prior to the battle at Steelgrill's Depot in Dun Morogh.[2]
Cataclysm
He asked young gnome adventurers to look for Kharmarn Palegrip in Frostmane Hold.[3]
Before the Storm
Following the Argus Campaign, Tread accompanied Gelbin to the Hall of Explorers in Ironforge to a meeting with Magni Bronzebeard.[1]
Battle for Azeroth
During the Fourth War, Tread assembled Gnomeregan's finest soldiers and tinkers into the Gnomish Elite Aerial Rangers, an elite task force under the command of a gnome adventurer,[4] which ultimately ended up thwarting the leper gnome Telzo Sparkspanner and his plans for decimating gnomanity.[5]
The War Within
Following the destruction of Dalaran, Tread Sparknozzle accompanied the Alliance fleet when they sailed to the Isle of Dorn to aid in the war against Xal'atath and the nerubians of Azj-Kahet.[6] He could be seen patrolling the ranks of the Alliance forces at their landing site.
