Calcia was one of Neltharion's most trusted scale-crafters and the leader of the black dragonflight's scalesmiths.

She and her scalesmiths worked with the blue dragonflight to stabilize the earth beneath the Broodlands during Iridikron's onslaught of seismic activity by placing enchanted obelisks beneath the earth to dampen the quakes. Neltharion assigned her to develop obelisks that would sense the oncoming vibrations and emit a counteracting force of equal intensity. While working on the construction of a statue on the outskirts of Valdrakken she and one of the titan-forged discussed the death of Tyr, unaware that Zakarnos was watching them.

Neltharion summoned Calcia and her workers to Harrowsdeep to serve as support in the Aspects' efforts to reach Iridikron. She found the seismic mechanisms of the rotating subterranean labyrinth to be incredible, and hoped to stay behind and study them after the battle ended, but she was forced to retreat from Harrowsdeep via a portal stone after her right wing was crushed beneath a falling column of rock.
