Blighthounds are mastiffs found in Marris Stead in Eastern Plaguelands. They were the pets of Nathanos Blightcaller, who used them to slaughter Scourge.[1] Nathanos fed them with Coagulated Rot.[2]
Abilities
Disease Cloud — A cloud of disease surrounds the caster, dealing Nature damage to any enemies within range.
Rend — Inflicts Physical damage to an enemy every 3 sec. for 15 sec.
Notes
- Blighthounds originally used hyena models but were updated to mastiffs in Cataclysm. Curiously, they've kept their hyena sounds, despite their model change.
- Despite this, the Blighthounds in Stormheim use hyena models.

Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Model updated from hyena to mastiff. Level reduced from 58-59 to 40-41. No longer Elite.
