[30-60] A Goldtusk Greeting.Bladeguard Tarkaj is a Zandalari troll who accompanies Bladeguard Kaja to Vol'dun along with Bladeguard Jorana and the Horde adventurer. He disappears after Kaja, Jorana, and the hero are shot out of the sky by Emperor Korthek.[1] Later, his pterrordax mount is found dead in the Serpent's Maw and his warblade is found among several sethrak corpses in a cave.[2]
After the adventurer helps open the Goldtusk Inn in Whistlebloom Oasis, a starving, wounded, and dehydrated Tarkaj appears outside the inn and falls unconscious but is quickly revived by the hero. Tarkaj is shocked to see the adventurer, as he believed that everyone else had been killed in the crash. He explains that he has been lost in the dunes and chased by the Faithless for days since the attack. After being offered food, water, bandages, and a bed by the adventurer, Tarkaj becomes the Goldtusk Inn's first official guest. Before falling asleep, he thanks the champion for saving him and muses that he might stay at the inn for a while and help out where he can.[3]
