The Battle.net World Championship series was the shared branding for the World of Warcraft and StarCraft II tournaments in 2012. This branding would only have been used in 2012 while the StarCraft II World Championship series continued with the branding until 2020 where it was replaced by an ESL tournament called ESL Pro Tour StarCraft II.
History
- 2012 StarCraft II World Championship is the introduction of the StarCraft II World Championship series and included over 30 LAN events.[1]
- 2012 World of Warcraft Arena World Championship was played during the Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria expansions.[2]
