Atyrannus is a green drake and one of Lailastrasza's closest companions.[1] Atyrannus' egg was among the primal dragon eggs that were stolen from their nests by the titan-forged under the orders of the dragonflights.[2]
As a whelp, Atyrannus spent hours playing with Vyranoth in the Ruby Life Pools when the ancient proto-dragon had come to visit Alexstrasza, alongside his friends Lailastrasza, Talinstrasz, and Rygos. As a drake, he would accompany Lailastrasza on her battles against the djaradin[3] and was among the drakes taken hostage within Harrowsdeep by the djaradin but was freed by Sirigosa.[4]
When Alexstrasza offered every dragon whose egg had been taken from a primal nest and ordered against their will a boon, Atyrannus' request was to become a guardian of the Emerald Dream.[2]
