The Argent Dawn Commission is a trinket used to engage in the service of the Argent Dawn. Once equipped, it allowed the wearer to collect scourgestones from the various undead in the Plaguelands. These could be turned in to Quartermaster Miranda Breechlock at Light's Hope Chapel for rewards of various sorts.

In Classic, this item is a quest reward from 
[55] Argent Dawn Commission. Retail characters who previously completed this quest can request a replacement from Argent Quartermaster Lightspark at Chillwind Camp or Argent Quartermaster Hasana at the Bulwark.
Characters who did not earn an Argent Dawn Commission prior to Cataclysm can obtain one by repairing a 
[Cracked Argent Dawn Commission] from the Memory of Scholomance with a 
[Righteous Orb] and four 
[Truesilver Bars].
Patch changes
Patch 10.1.5 (2023-07-11): Re-added as part of 
[Wards of the Dread Citadel] secret. 
Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Removed, though players who previously completed the quest can still get replacements.
