Objectives

Head to the Obsidian Citadel and ask the smith to forge the handle onto the axe.

  • Talk to Eadward at the Obsidian Citadel
  • Forge Fyr'alath, Dream Render

Description

Exemplary. Some of the components can be wrapped and attached by hand, but for the last step, you'll need a powerful forge to unify all three in flame.

I've been speaking to Wrathion. He can direct you to a suitable forge in the Obsidian Citadel. I'll meet you both there! I can't wait to see what happens as a result of my ingenious plan!

Rewards

You will receive:

  • 14g 4s 50c

Progress

Completion

Let's prove you can withstand your weapon's corruption.

The ritual awaits. I can lead you into Aberrus. Are you ready to go?

Notes

Head to the Obsidian Citadel in northwestern Waking Shores and catch up with Eadweard Dalyngrigge, Wrathion, and Scalecommander Emberthal by one of the anvils. Speak with Eadweard:

You made it! It's time to forge these components together. Are you ready?

Gossip (Quest) Yes.

Eadweard Dalyngrigge says: Excellent. Let us begin. <Name>, would you do the honors?

Interact with the Obsidian Anvil nearby to complete a brief Forging Axe cast, the force of which knocks the player a few yards from the anvil!

Wrathion says: Not what I expected! Don't worry about the champion, Eadweard. <He/She> has taken worse blows.
Eadweard Dalyngrigge says: I don't understand. The handle clearly diminished the shadowflame, but the axe is still too unstable to wield effectively!
Wrathion says: I know <name> has accomplished much, but we need to prove they can resist the corrupting influence of shadowflame.
Wrathion says: Never fear. I know a ritual for this. To wield this axe, <name>, you must demonstrate complete dominance over it.
Wrathion says: Once you've beaten its power into submission, you can safely wield Fyr'alath without falling prey to its corrupting influence.
Wrathion says: When you're ready, let me know. We'll travel to Aberrus together. If we're going to do this, we should do it far away from others.
