Zak'rajan the Undying is the spectre of a long-dead Zandalari ruler who controls the Court of Zak'rajan in Vol'dun.[1] Long ago, he enticed trolls into following him by promising them wealth beyond measure.[2] However, he rejected kings[3] and forbade his followers from worshipping the loa; only Zak'rajan was to be honored.[2][3] At some point he betrayed his followers[4] and imprisoned their souls in powerful golems.[2] For countless ages, he has enslaved the souls,[2] wielding them as weapons[5] and using them to power the golems guarding his court.[6][7] The death loa Bwonsamdi refused to let the spirits permanently die[4] or allow them into his realm, the Other Side.[2]
Zak'rajan is found in his throne room at the top of the court, where he is normally protected by a Spirit Shield — powered by the souls of his followers[1][8] — that shields him from all damage. However, a trio of vulpera scavengers — Kenzou, Omi, and Tacha — along with a Horde adventurer eventually confront Zak'rajan in order to plunder the powerful artifacts from his throne room. Using a soulcatcher totem filled with souls drained from the golems in the ruins, Tacha unleashes a barrage of spirits that dispels Zak'rajan's shield and exposes him to attack. The vulpera and the adventurer then kill Zak'rajan and ransack his treasures. With his dying words, Zak'rajan pleads for Bwonsamdi to "let him die this time".[1]

Shadow Whirl — Strikes all targets within 8 yards twice for Shadowstrike damage.- Soul Barrage — Creates a shield of soul energy that protects the caster from all damage for 10 sec. While the shield holds bolts of shadow energy hit the ground around the caster, inflicting Shadow damage to all enemies within their blast radius.
