Pre-Cataclysm appearance.

Young Black Bears are bear cub mobs that can be found above Gnomeregan in Dun Morogh. They sit idly in Jermaine and Anton Buckey's camp, while their Black Bear guardians chase the two dwarves up a tree.

Prior to Cataclysm, Young Black Bears roamed the area around Kharanos and along the road leading south from Kharanos. Two of them also lived alongside a single adult Black Bear on one of the difficult-to-access northern slopes of Ironforge Mountain,^{[65.5, 12.8]} northwest of the Ironforge Airfield and just above the Wetlands farm.

Patch changes

• Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23):
  • Removed from Kharanos and Ironforge Airfield.
  • New version added above Gnomeregan. Level is now 3 - 5, down from 5 - 6. No longer hostile. No longer tameable. No longer drops any loot. Model changed from standard bear to bear cub.
