Notes

At 30/30 in the Mechanical Mind - Novelties specialization, you can activate three Signal Transmitters per zone to unlock the ability to choose to teleport to that zone specifically.

On use:

No matter how deeply you peer into the portal, there is no certainty as to where you will end up. Nonetheless, it seems likely you will throw caution to the wind one way or another.
Gossip Carelessly leap into the portal, you daredevil. (Random zone)
Gossip Audibly spell out "Thaldraszus" backwards before jumping through. (Thaldraszus)
Gossip Ensure your arrival at the Azure Span through sheer force of will. (Azure Span)
Gossip Clomp your hooves, imaginary or otherwise, as you walk through. (Ohn'aran Plains)
Gossip Pray return to the Waking Shores. (Waking Shores)
Gossip Disregard the word "Forbidden", and venture to the Reach. (Forbidden Reach)
Gossip Flip the portal horizontally and dive into it. (Zaralek Cavern)
Gossip Close your eyes and snore loudly. (Emerald Dream)

Trivia

Two of the options are references:

  • Spelling "Thaldraszus" backwards is possibly a reference to the Superman villain Mister Mxyzptlk, a trickster from the fifth dimension who could be banished back home by tricking him into saying his name backwards.
  • "Pray return to the Waking Shores" is a reference to the MMO game Final Fantasy XIV, where the original headquarters of the organization the player character works for are called the Waking Sands. Throughout the original game, A Realm Reborn, the organization's leader Minfilia Warde often calls the player after a mission is complete, saying "Pray return to the Waking Sands".
