Wise-ear was Drek'Thar's wolf companion. Because Drek'Thar was blind, Wise-ear was his eyes. Drek'Thar sent Wise-ear to find and bring nomadic Orgrim to the Frostwolves, in which the wolf succeeded. During the liberation of the fifth internment camp (which later became the Horde outpost named Hammerfall), Wise-ear was killed. He was then burned on the funeral pyre of Orgrim Doomhammer (who had also been killed in that battle).[1]
Many years later, now senile Drek'Thar mentions him while speaking with Muln Earthfury about a shadow and darkness.[2]
