Walt Hayward is one of five Hayward brothers that own and operate the Hayward Fishery in the Ruins of Gilneas. Judging by his long silvery hair, Walt could be the eldest of the five. They have operated it for a number of years, but were forced to flee when the Forsaken invasion occurred, coupled with the seismic activity of the Cataclysm. They were successful in gathering their supplies and making repairs to their boats, but nothing was heard from them after their expected departure to the sea.
Over a decade later, Walt and his brothers returned to the Fishery after the Reclamation of Gilneas. He could be seen checking and repairing the boats.
