Violet Stand
The Violet Stand is a Kirin Tor outpost located within night elf ruins. It is located just to the northwest of the Azure Front in southwest Crystalsong Forest. To the north is the Great Tree and the Decrepit Flow coming from Icecrown. The mages had a magical shield dome to protect themselves from the blue dragonflight during the Nexus War. Corpses of blue dragonspawn, presumably from the nearby Azure Front, litter the ruins. There are also burnt holes here, presumably from battle. It has a Teleport to Violet Stand Crystal from Teleport to Dalaran Crystal.
Following the war against the Jailer, the brothers Bronzebeard reported that the Kirin Tor left the ruins after the end of the war. There are now only the old ruins of tall towers still draped with vines and still-smoldering craters left by the blue dragonkin.[1]

Violet Stand Digsite
The Violet Stand is a night elf archaeology dig site.
According to Muradin Bronzebeard, they don't rightly know if they're Highborne or night elf ruins. His brother Brann then explained that by archaeology the Explorers' League classify them as night elf ruins, but the difference isn't so significant for that time period.[1]
Notes
While walking to the Violet Stand it is simple, there is no direct path to or from the road. The Twilight Rivulet must be waded through, and there is not even a distinct gate to the walled ruins, only gaps due to erosion and time. Originally, the teleport crystal was at the end of the road itself.
