Verner Osgood was a human located in front of the Lakeshire smithy in the Redridge Mountains. He was the resident blacksmith and was trying to make shoes for his horses. Unfortunately, a large amount of his iron went toward keeping the Stormwind Guard equipped, and the local gnolls made his job even harder by taking his horses when they strayed. Verner wanted the gnolls dead, along with their leader, Yowler.

He died from his wounds after warning Magistrate Solomon of an attack on Lakeshire by the Scourge.
