Episode 1.01: Who Are You?

Three thousand years ago, the armies of the Burning Legion invaded the world of Azeroth, only for the world's mightest champions leading the Armies of Legionfall to overpower their enemies while the Dark titan Sargeras was imprisoned by the Pantheon for the crimes he committed. With Sargeras gone, the Legion was leaderless and retreated deep into the Twisting Nether, never to invade or conquer the Great Dark Beyond ever again. On the world of Tiragar, Harald Proudmoore had just finished telling his seven year old son James Proudmoore the story about the Burning Legion. James wanted to hear about the Great Sundering of Kalimdor, something that his mother promised to tell him. Harald promises to tell him that story soon which annoys James. Before going to sleep, James dreams of becoming a Paladin, a noble champion of Luminar. Jon tells him that he will be and gives him the steps on how to be a great fighter.

Ten years later in the present, a seventeen year old James Proudmoore slowly wakes up in the Muir Woods of California, gasping for air. He looks around and saw no signs of any enemies. His sword was broken and his shield was sliced in half during a battle. Removing his armor and helmet, he quickly stands up and manages to find a waterfall to wash off all the blood off him. After washing himself up, he manages to seal a small wound and tries to find something that would help him stand up. Grabbing hold of a very strong stick to use, he weakly limps across the woods and hopes to find any help. He then stumbles onto a road until a police car approaches him. The police officer steps out to ask if he was alright. James weakly responds that he was in a battle and is wounded. Noticing blood starting to pour down his shirt, James collapses to the ground, forcing the police officer to run over and help him. He quickly takes James into his car and contacts the hospital at once.

In a flashback, James is inside a cell, looking at the brightness of the sky. That was when the guards enter his cell and take him directly to the Tiragar Court House where he is to be put on trial for the murder of Jon Proudmoore. His older half-brother Galen Proudmoore, who is now King of the Sea, stands in between the six judges of the Proudlands. At the start of the trial, King Galen asks if James killed Jon over envy, for which James replies he didn't kill him and accuses the Ashvanes since they were a rival family to the Proudmoores for a very long time. Galen dismisses that claim since he and his fellow supporters had already made negotiations with the Ashvanes after Jon's death. James reminded his brother that Jon had warned them about trusting the Ashvanes, forcing Galen to erupt in fury. After a fellow witness revealed evidence that James was responsible, Galen publicly sentences his brother to death and will be executed tomorrow at dawn.

Inside the UCSF Medical Center within the city of San Francisco, James slowly wakes up and noticed that his wound was sealed. He turns to face a nurse named Janice Kaiser checking up on him. Seeing how confused he was, Janice tells him that he's in the hospital due to severe injuries and tells him that he must be very lucky. That was when the same police officer, who had recently found him, enters the room and asks Janice to leave the room so he can ask James a few questions. The officer introduces himself as Kyle Brody and wanted to ask for his name. Telling Brody his full name, James tells him that he was in a battle, but Officer Brody states that he must've went for a walk in the woods and ended up in the wrong place where people, who are meant to cause trouble outside the law, decided to pick a fight and beat him up. James told Brody that never happened, for which he was in a battle on a world fighting the Burning Legion on a world with the 1st Legion. Kyle believed that James' story was delusional and claims that he may have suffered severe side effects after being beaten up. James tells him that its true, but Officer Brody calmly asks to rest and will discuss more.

In another flashback, James is waiting for the day to be executed, only to be released by his bodyguard Fairwind and his Sylvar squire Ander Bleakthorn and , who was willing to commit treason since he was one of those that didn't believe that James was a murderer. Escaping through the underground sewers which led them to the forest, Ander, Fairwind, and James meet with Meryl Felstorm, who safely transports them to the planet Azeroth. Settling in Westfall, the four live together in an old abandoned farmhouse, to which Felstorm spent hours turning it into a Mage tower for them to live and hide. James, on the other hand ,believed that all of Tiragar was done with him and chooses to live in exile for everything

Back in the present, Kyle Brody meets with Doctor Howard Lee, who tells him that James will recover from his injuries soon. Officer Brody asks if James has brought up anything about his past.

Episode 1.02: Proudmoore

In a flashback on Azeroth, James, using his alias "Jay the Fair", had been spending his time working as a cleaner in one of the inns within the town of Moonbrook. While taking a break and sitting down on his own spot, a gang started to cause a bit of trouble to the innkeeper, who begs them to leave. The gang's leader refuses and tells him that they can do whatever they choose to do. James was fed up with this and went on to confront the gang.
