At some during the time of when the Burning Legion launched its third invasion on Azeroth, a group of Knights of the Ebon Blade discovered Shadowgore's corpse and brought it back to Acherus. Under Darion Mograine's order, Akaari was resurrected as a Death knight, in which she would serve within the Knights of the Ebon Blade.
