Background

Krys'ar, The Crystal Citadel is level 110++ raid instance. It is the home of the former Blue Dragon Cryogos. This crystalline fortress hovers high above the ground and contains creatures ranging those made of pure arcane energy to those created from crystals. Within this citadel lies the possibility of a new dragonflight creation under the guidance of the crystal dragon Cryogos. Where the Burning Legion attacked during the Third invasion, some of the Legion's forces have infiltrated the Crystal Citadel.

Bosses and Monsters

The bosses within the citadel consists of 9 bosses split into two sections with increasing difficulty.

• Wintrigosa - A Blue Dragon whose very powers cause her to become a crystallized ice version of herself, Wintrigosa lends her aid in protecting the citadel from intruders. Her powers lean more towards the Frost-variant than the Arcane-based side most of her siblings possess. It was possessed by Shivarra named Shiz'reth, due to this, she contains little to no Arcane powers other than the exact whereabouts of her dragonkin brethren and her very presence can freeze almost anything in the vicinity.

• Crystallon - A massive crystal behemoth, this creature patrols the Chamber of Energy, dealing away with any enemy it spots. Should its crystalline form breaks, the energies contained within it will rush out and form itself again. This powerful creature will be a force to be reckoned with.

• Lord Dantalionax - A vile nathrezim that controlled the elementals they convinced the Legion's will, her command to eradicate the intruders from the Citadel. Now that Dantalionax ensures the victory for the leadership of Gul'dan behind the Crystal Citadel enchained for his might since the Black Rook Hold, for it was Kur'talos Ravencrest.

• Surranistrasz - An agent of Alexstrasza sent to investigate the activities inside the citadel only to fall to the mighty Cryogos until the Legion's Third Invasion that he is completely cursed. As punishment for intrusion, Cryogos had this dragon undergo arcane corruption throughout his body. The energies warped his scales and formed cracks of arcane power across the dragon's body. Now, this newly corrupted dragon mentally cries to his queen while the powers within him force him to bring devastation to anything that ventures near.

• Skarvox - A scorpion being of crystallized energy, Skarvox guards the inner sanctum of the citadel. This creature feeds off of pure arcane energy to bolster its strength. However, should this beast devour too much energy, it may spell its own demise.

• Azorus - Another being of pure energy, Azorus is responsible for the creation of the crystal golems of Krys'ar. Due to this, Azorus has the power to drain power directly from the golems should the opportunity present itself. If granted such power, this being will be strong enough to inflict a blow upon the world greater than that from the Well of Eternity.

• Highlord Kruul - At it's point of Gul'dan's summoning, one of the numerous demons that named Highlord Kruul wished to his leadership by intruding and securing the Crystal Citadel. Kruul demands their will to protect them from intruders that pointed up the league of the Burning Legion. Therefore that Kruul to be stopped from what is coming to reclaiming him.

• Overlady Shiz'reth - Deep within the Crystal Citadel, the anxious Overlady Shiz'reth was one of the high-ranked Shivarra that powered with arcane energies. Now that all she unleashes their arcane energy to indirect the empowerement via the Citadel as of this unproven quest until Shiz'reth faces their death upon the enemies.

• Cryogos - The former Blue Dragon Cryogos, also known as Cryon, was banished from his home after deciding against Malygos during the Nexus War and as a result, he was stripped of most of his power. As a result of him being exiled, Cryogos has chosen to scour the world, attempting to regain his power and place in the world. During his travels, he came across a mysterious being that would grant him his power back and even more in exchange for his loyalty. Since then, Cryogos has successfully regained his power but at a price. Losing his flight's distinctive blue scales, Cryogos' draconic and humanoid forms both took on a more crystallized version. With his newfound powers, Cryogos will seek out those who betrayed him and those who harmed him. His wrath will be feared for the ages.

Heroic Difficulty

• Arcanaris - An ally and a close friend of Cryogos, the mighty Arcanaris spent his final days within the halls of Krys'ar, absorbing energy until his time is needed again. With a secluded lair in an unknown section of the citadel, Arcanaris allows only Cryogos into this area via a special crystal orb that only the crystal dragon possesses. Those willing to challenge the powerful Arcanaris must first obtain this special orb from Cryogos but the powerful wyrm will not give it up so easily.

Achievements

•  Mythic: Wintrigosa —  Defeat Wintrigosa in the Crystal Citadel on Heroic difficulty.
  •  Cold As Ice —  Defeat Wintrigosa in the Crystal Citadel after acquiring at least 8 stacks of Ice Aura on Normal or Heroic difficulty.

•  Mythic: Crystallon —  Defeat the construct Crystallon in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Rainbow Golem —  Defeat Crystallon in the Crystal Citadel after he has cycled through the following forms twice on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty.
    • Crimson Ruby Form
    • Azure Sapphire Form
    • Jade Emerald Form

•  Mythic: Lord Dantalionax —  Defeat Lord Dantalionax in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Unrelented Fears —  Defeat Lord Dantalionax while destroying 3 (5 for 30-man) Feltouch Elementals in the Crystal Citadel on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty.

•  Mythic: Surranistrasz —  Defeat Surranistrasz in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Depart the Mists —  Do not allow any raid member benefit from an Energy Mist on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty while defeating Surranistrasz.

•  Mythic: Skarvox —  Eliminate Skarvox in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Averted —  Destroy Skarvox on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty while preventing a single Overwhelming Nova from ever going off.

•  Mythic: Azorus —  Defeat Azorus in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Power Hungry Tyrant —  Defeat Azorus in the Crystal Citadel on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty without him ever consuming a Energy-Filled Golem.

•  Mythic: Highlord Kruul —  Defeat Highlord Kruul in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  I'm Freaking Invincible! —  Take down Highlord Kruul in the Crystal Citadel Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty without allowing to destroy four Crystal Generators.

•  Mythic: Overlady Shiz'reth —  Defeat Overlady Shiz'reth in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Gemstone Breakers —  Defeat Overlady Shiz'reth after starting the encounter on each crystal platform before defeating both Shiz'reth and Potensius on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty.
    • Ruby Crystal Destroyed First
    • Amethyst Crystal Destroyed First
    • Primal Crystal Destroyed First

•  Mythic: Cryogos —  Destroy Cryogos in the Crystal Citadel on Mythic difficulty.
  •  Simultaneous Slaughter —  Complete the Cryogos encounter on Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulty after destroying all Energy Anomalies within 10 seconds of each other.

•  Mythic: Arcanaris —  Destroy Arcanaris in the Crystal Citadel. Title Reward: <Name> the Tempest
  •  Full-Powered Cold Theory —  Defeat Arcanaris in the Crystal Citadel without any raid player being damaged by Colded Arcane Squall or Colded Arcane Output ability.
