Witchrise Coven is a 5 player dungeon for The Waking Dream, located in Tal'Theril Woodlands. A mystical lodge of the Heruli, fortified after being touched by the Wake. Drawn by instinct, the Heruli would flock to this rise as the currents of spiritual power reached their pinnacle, swept forth into a Wild Hunt that would tear through the Dream in a ritual blaze of primal might. Now, gifted with both cunning intellect and salvaged titanic power, the Heruli are attempting to bend the Dream to their will, co-opting the once-natural omens and signs to force a Wild Hunt, extending the reign of their burgeoning empire.

Background
The ancient Heruli were once drawn to places of coalesced, wild power within the Dream. Rivers and streams of natural, spiritual energies would flow across the land and its denizens would race to match them, none more-so than the Heruli. At confluxes of these spiritual rivers, the primitive hunter folk would craft crude shrines, and when the energies reached their pinnacle, they would flow out into the land. Emboldened by this natural might, the Heruli, other ancient spawn, wild beasts and even the echoes of once-living hunters in the waking world would rampage through the forests as a testament to nature's primal strength. There was no better nexus than the Witchrise, and a great many Wild Hunts would charge out from its groves. The Heruli's hunting practices would become symbiotic in a strange sort of way; their instincts would compel them to target specific game, which would alter the courses of these spiritual currents and compel the formation of a new Wild Hunt.
Now, the Heruli are not driven by instinct but by will. Made cunning through the Wake, they have catalogued all the necessary rites needed to form a Wild Hunt, and through their new fortress on the top of the Witchrise, they have forced the hand of the Dream. No longer left to chance or instinct, the Heruli now artificially force Wild Hunts to serve as yet another arrow in their quiver.
