The nation of Azeroth is said to be called Stormwind since it was created,[1][2] but it is called Azeroth in many cases, mostly during the First and Second Wars.
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
In Warcraft: Orcs & Humans the term Stormwind is used to refer to Stormwind Keep,[3][4][5][6][7] although the map calls it "Stonewind Keep"[8] and one mission calls it "Castle Stormwind".[9] It is also used to refer to it's knights, the Knights of Stormwind.[10]
Warcraft II
Tides of Darkness
In Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness it's used as the name of a place,[11] as well as Stormwind Keep[12][13] which is also called "stronghold of Stormwind".[14]
Beyond the Dark Portal
The term "New Stormwind" is seen,[15] it is the term to refer the reconstructed Stormwind.[16][17][18] The constructed castle in the same spot that was Stormwind Keep before it was destroyed in the First War, is called "Castle of New Stormwind".[19][20] The term Stormwind Keep is also used to refer the keep that was in Stormwind before the orcs invaded Azeroth.[16]
Warcraft III
Reign of Chaos
In Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is refers to the "city of Stormwind".[21]
The Frozen Throne
The term is used only in one quote to refer either: the kingdom or the continent.[22]
Warcraft: The Role Playing Game
The term is used to refer the "kingdom of Stormwind",[23][24] sometimes called "nation of Stormwind".[25][26][27] It is also used to refer to a continent,[28][29] a land(s),[30] the city[31] (capital of the kingdom[32]) and Stormwind Keep.[33]
World of Warcraft
In World of Warcraft's manual the term Stormwind is used to refer the city,[34] which is the capital of the kingdom[35] also named Stormwind;[36] this other use is also seen throughout the manual.[37]
World of Warcraft: The Role Playing Game
It is used to refer Stormwind Keep[38][39] (Stormwind castle[40]), Stormwind City[41][42][43][44][45][46][47] (capital of the nation[48]) and the nation/kingdom.[49][50][51][52] It is also used to refer a region[53] (land[54]/area[55]).
