Darklance of the Twinblade

Background

As young boys, Darklance and his twin brother  [Shadowscythe] ran away from their home near Stratholme in Eastern Lordaeron and joined a group of bandits. They frequently terrorized small villages across the land and plundered travelling caravans. They stole from and killed civilians without regret or remorse.

After an internal mutiny, the twins helped in the betrayal of their bandit lord and joined their fellow revolutionaries in the creation of a rogue syndicate within the political structure of Stratholme. The syndicate never had the opportunity to successfully infiltrate the city infrastructure, as shortly after, Arthas arrived and purged the city of its plague-infected populace.

Arthas did not kill the entire population of the city, and the twins were among the survivors. However, since the entire city had already been afflicted by the infected grain distributed by Kel'thuzad and the Cult of the Damned, they were among those who were transformed into the undead Scourge.

After a year of service to the Lich King, the twins were able to break free of his control during the resurgence of Sylvanas Windrunner when she broke away from the Scourge and formed the Forsaken. They joined her legions and aided in the taking of the Lordaeron capital.

After the Forsaken had been accepted into the Horde, they began to expand their territories and explore new lands. The twins took advantage and travelled to Kalimdor. They enjoyed the barren wastes of Durotar and established themselves in the area. They quickly made a name for themselves around Razor Hill and The Den, successfully plundering the centaur, harpy and quilboar encampments surrounding the Horde towns, becoming known as The Twinblade.

One day, Dalan and Krall of [[Guild:The Dark Hand Covenant (Ner'zhul US)|The Dark Hand Covenant]] came to Durotar, searching for signs of demonic rituals performed by their former masters. Their mission was made known to the Twinblade, and Darklance immediately took an interest, seeking to adopt a purpose other than pillaging and plundering the fledgling encroaches around Durotar. Shadowscythe chose to stay behind and defend Razor Hill while Darklance joined The [[Guild:The Dark Hand Covenant (Ner'zhul US)|Dark Hand Covenant]], becoming an apprentice to Krall.
