Unstable Powerful Truesteel Essences are what remains of Powerful Truesteel Essences, which can no longer be crafted. Prior to Shadowlands, using this item "restored" it into a  [Truesteel Essence] and 25  [Sorcerous Air].

The original version of this item, Powerful Truesteel Essence, was crafted by blacksmiths with a skill level of 1. The recipe was learned from  [Recipe: Powerful Truesteel Essence], which could be purchased from The Forge at Lunarfall or Frostwall, or from the blacksmithing vendor in Stormshield or Warspear.

Patch changes

  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Deprecated.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.2.0 (2015-06-23): Renamed from Powerful Truesteel Essence and given a new effect. No longer obtainable.
    Previous effect: Upgrades item level 670 Blacksmithing armor to 685.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.1.0 (2015-02-24): Added.
