Unstable Greater Taladite Amplifiers are what remains of Greater Taladite Amplifiers, which can no longer be crafted. Prior to Shadowlands, using this item "restored" it into a 
[Taladite Amplifier] and 25 
[Sorcerous Air].

The original version of this item, Greater Taladite Amplifier, was crafted by Jewelcrafters with a skill level of 1. The recipe was learned from 
[Recipe: Greater Taladite Amplifier], which could be purchased from a Gem Boutique at Lunarfall or Frostwall, or from the jewelcrafting vendor in Stormshield or Warspear.
