Unstable Greater Hexweave Essences are what remains of Greater Hexweave Essences, which can no longer be crafted. Prior to Shadowlands, using this item "restored" it into a  [Hexweave Essence] and 25  [Sorcerous Air].

The original version of this item, Greater Hexweave Essence, was crafted by tailors with a skill level of 1. The recipe was learned from  [Pattern: Greater Hexweave Essence], which could be purchased from the Tailoring Emporium at Lunarfall or Frostwall, or from the tailoring vendor in Stormshield or Warspear.

Inv tailoring hexweavethread.png 200x [Hexweave Cloth] Inv tradeskillitem sorcererswind tong.png 40x [Sorcerous Air]
Inv misc boilingblood.png 15x [Savage Blood]

Patch changes

  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Deprecated.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.2.0 (2015-06-23): Renamed from Greater Hexweave Essence and given a new effect. No longer obtainable.
    Previous effect: Upgrades item level 655 Tailoring armor to 670.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Added.
