Twilight Opals can be mined rarely from Rich Saronite and Cobalt Deposits, and Titanium Veins. They may also be mined from some mobs, and prospected from cobalt or saronite ore.

In Patch 3.2, this gem is no longer available for purchase from any vendor, and has been replaced by its epic version,  [Dreadstone].
