History

When Turak first trained for the path of the Claw, his meeting with the Great Bear Spirit was a little bewildering, but very intense.[2]

Four years after the Third War, he put out word that he wished to speak with the Horde druid adventurer in order to train them further.[1] He taught them a teleportation spell and directed them to Dendrite Starblaze in Moonglade.[3] When the training with Dendrite concluded, he sent them back to Turak to continue the training for the role as a protector of balance. He gave them their a test:[2] to use the Cenarion Lunardust on the Moonkin Stone to summon the moonkin Lunaclaw and face him to earn the strength of body and heart it possessed. With both, the spirit bear teaching and the strength of Lunaclaw obtained, Turak taught them what it meant to be a Druid of the Claw.[4] Turak then continued directing the adventurer as they grew more powerful. The next power to master was poisons. The adventurer was once again sent to Dendrite[5] and then to the Crossroads to aid with the problems of the poisoned environment there. When Turak learned about the situation in the Crossroads, he was surprised. Nevertheless, the adventurer was successful in their efforts, and Turak taught them how to cure poison in a permanent way.[6] Turak continued watching the adventurer and sent them back to Dendrite when the time to learn aquatic form came.[7] When they passed the trials, the adventurer came back to Turak, who completed their training for the new form and recognized them for their efforts.[8] When the hunter Torwa Pathfinder requested the help of a druid, Turak sent the adventurer to him.[9]

Cataclysm

Cata-Logo-Small.png This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

After the Cataclysm, he appeared in the Molten Front as part of the Firelands Invasion against Ragnaros' forces. He and Captain Saynna Stormrunner were tasked with seizing the tower of the Forlorn Spire. To that end, Saynna sent one of her wardens and an adventurer to aid Turak. They invaded the area and killed fire elementals on their way to the tower. With the enemies gone, Turak grew a tree that knocked the spire down. Afterward, he could be seen speaking with Keeper Taldros.[10]

To druids

Welcome, my <brother/sister>. If you are here to train, then I would be delighted to teach you.

It never hurts to reaffirm one's place within what I like to call the Great Balance. As preservers of this balance, we must strive to continually keep our minds clear and our hearts strong. Training helps us in this regard.

To non-druids

Strive to keep the balance in all things, <class>. This is where true harmony lies.

Mail

After completion of H Druid [10] Body and Heart, he used to send:

Greetings, young druid!

I'm quite proud of the effort you put into the training given to you thus far. You should feel proud to have become one with the Claw. More such lessons will be given; the next of your lessons will be available once you have reached at least 14th level. When you are ready at that time, seek me out on the Elder Rise of Thunder Bluff.

Turak Runetotem.

After completion of H Druid [14] Power over Poison, he used to send:

Greetings, young druid!

I've sent you this note as a reminder to check in with me from time to time as you advance through the ranks. There is much to learn as a druid in the service of Cenarius, and I am only happy to help you along the way. Soon you will be ready to learn about your aquatic form; seek me out when you reach 16th level and I'll get you started along the path of knowledge.
