Trenton Lighthammer is a high elf blacksmith located at Sandsorrow Watch in Tanaris. He is a member of the blacksmithing group called the Mithril Order and is searching for the legendary sword known as 
[Sul'thraze the Lasher], helped by a sand troll called Mazoga.
Prior to the Cataclysm, he had recently finished training with Galvan the Ancient as one of his finest pupils, and could be found pounding away at an anvil near the southern gates of Gadgetzan. Adventurers with blacksmithing who were training in armorsmithing would come to him for additional recipes, creating mithril armor for Trenton, and he, in turn, admitted them to the Order. He also had adventurers bring him troll temper from Zul'Farrak as he wanted to use it on his craft.[1]
Having been obsessed with the sand trolls and Sul'thraze, a mythical sword made by them for years, Trenton got a crew together to go to Sandsorrow Watch and look for it after the Cataclysm. They kicked the trolls out of one of their camps and set up shop there.[2] While there, he had help from Mazoga, working together on restoring the blade, but Mazoga betrayed him[3] and escaped to Zul'Farrak. Realizing that his hunt for Sul'thraze has blinded him, he wanted to end his search for the blade.[4]
He is also the master of the tower and has a jagged scar across his face. Some time after the Cataclysm, Trenton and his three goblin friends were visited by Aramar Thorne, Makasa Flintwill, Taryndrella, Murky, and Hackle. He allowed them to sleep here. Since Aram knew a bit about blacksmithing, the two forged a new harpoon for Makasa. Trenton also gifted Aram a new iron chain for his compass, so he could replace the old, broken one. He also added a few, new iron spurs to Hackle's war club and gave a small pouch of apples to Drella.[5]
After the Fourth War, Trenton was visited by Rexxar and Zekhan. The troll asked him what he was doing in the desert, so far from Silvermoon. He just scoffed and explained he spent his time searching for the blade Sul'thraze.[6]
