Thera'brin was the first Highborne gone missing and the first being murdered. When Var'dyn Skyseeker learned this, he swore to avenge Thera'brin's death. It was later revealed that Maiev Shadowsong and her Watchers were the ones responsible for his death, unable to forgive the Highborne for their transgressions in the War of the Ancients long ago.[1]
