Terror of the Tides
Terror of the Tides is the Sentinels campaign in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
Sometime after the defeat of the Burning Legion, Maiev Shadowsong, leader of the Watchers, began her quest to capture Illidan following his release from the prisons of the barrows. Maiev discovered that Illidan had become a demon and now commanded the Naga, ancient night elves who transformed into serpent-like sea creatures and with their help gained the power of the Eye of Sargeras and its Watchers. Without the power to confront Illidan, she managed to send a messenger to receive aid from Malfurion and after withstanding the naga's attack, Maiev eventually received reinforcements from Malfurion, but was displeased that Tyrande had also gone with him due to her being the one responsible for freeing Illidan to aid against Archimonde's forces.
While Malfurion communes with the spirits of the forest to uncover the truth about Illidan's plans, Maiev and Tyrande meet with Prince Kael and the blood elves, high elves who survived the massacre of Quel'Thalas and changed their name in honor of their fallen. The two make a deal to help the blood elves escort their caravan to safety away from the Scourge, and in return, the blood elves will help them hunt down Illidan. This leads to Tyrande being swept away by a river when she confronts the undead and is taken to their territory. Prince Kael'thas warns Maiev that they must rescue her, but she holds him to their agreement to find Illidan. Malfurion arrives at the united night elf and blood elf bases and Maiev lies about Tyrande being killed by the undead, driven mad with grief Malfurion puts an end to his brother's plans. With the help of the blood elves and Magroth the Defender, a paladin who was rescued from the naga, they manage to destroy the Eye of Sargeras and the naga retreat leaving Illidan alone.
As they were about to execute Illidan, Kael interrupted him and suggested that Tyrande might still be alive as she had only been swept away by the river, exposing Maiev's lie. Both Illidan and Malfurion decided to join forces to rescue Tyrande from the undead, eventually managing to rescue Tyrande and Malfurion letting Illidan go only for Maiev and her Watchers to chase him to Outland.

- Although this is called the Sentinels campaign, it starts with the group of Watchers led by Maiev that are later joined by the Sentinels led by Tyrande and Malfurion.
